The Mississippi Business Journal blog reports the Mississippi Development Authority won the annual 2012 Silver Shovel Award, which recognizes agencies for job creation initiatives. Chevron’s new oil refinery in Pascagoula was cited as one of the major employers contributing to the state’s winning job creation score.
